My sweet Mom was a seamtress. She tried to teach me her skills to no avail. All that cutting measuring not to mention the ripping out if you made a mistake! So little by little Mom would give me other fun things buttons, glue, some yarn, wish I had photos of some of those "creations".
After I married & had four wonderful sons it was very apparent that my creativity was in baking cupcakes for school parties & ect. Then the next time I attended school was graduation for my sons one by one. Then off to college & living there life.
Back in 2005 I took a silver smithing class.Loved it.So for a while I made and sold many bracelets at a gift shop in Grand Junction Colorado where I live.I was so pleased that someone would actually pay me for something that was a hobbie! after about 2 yrs.the shop closed.Still managed to sell here & there, but I saw in an art magazine jewelry that was made from broken vintage jewelry that had been used with other new components to design something new, unique & beautiful! I was inspired! couldn't wait to get started on creating my own style. Then I found Etsy, opened Sakarra's.Then life happened,Sakarra's closed for a while & is now back!
